Gaisano Mall of Davao Red Carpet cinema equipped with La-Z-Boy seats

Gaisano Mall of Davao, one of the large malls in the world's most livable city, now has a large, spacious cinema equipped with lazyboy (or rather La-Z-Boy) seats! For only P150.00, you can enjoy sitting on a very comfortable, cushiony seat with foot rest at the Red Carpet cinema! The theater is very spacious and you get a lot of extra leg room. What I did notice, however, was that the seats come in two. Meaning if you're going to watch a movie solo, there may be a possibility that someone else will also occupy the adjoining lazyboy seat. So I guess the Gaisano Mall of Davao Red Carpet cinema encourages catching flicks with a friend :) You also have your very own cup holder and extra space for small things (like perhaps your cellphone or car keys). In case you haven't heard, Google Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. Yep, the key there is REAL TIME. Through Google Wave, for instance, I can now communicate with my fellow writers and they can help edit my work in real time, they can share related photos or maps with me in real time and they can also format my article the way they want it or the way that it should be. The press statement of the upcoming Mindanao Power Summit 2009 alarmed me. It said that "by 2014, projections have it that Mindanao will have a deficit capacity of 484 megawatts which is equivalent to putting out power in the five major cities of Mindanao - Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Butuan, and Cotabato." That means that five years from now, Mindanao will suffer a devastating power crisis and that the situation may reach the most critical state if we do not act fast and act now. The press statement also claimed that the entire Mindanao grid may experience regular rotating brownouts as early as next year (!), especially with the coming in of additional new investments that are anticipated to further deplete the grid’s reserve capacity. Following the FREE wi-fi launches in other SM malls including SM City Cebu, SM CITY Cagayan de Oro now offers FREE wi-fi access! FINALLY! So now SM CDO does not only offer uptown shopping, dining and entertaining experience...they now also offer free Internet! Yay! :) SM City Cagayan de Oro had its free wifi launch event last October 18, 2009 at the Atrium, Ground Floor area. The new United States Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission, Leslie A. Mindanaoan still can't concentrate well. As much as I want to work and attend to various other matters, I still can't help but log on to Twitter via Tweetdeck (which I highly recommend that you Twitter-holics use, by the way) and check how the search and rescue as well as the relief goods distribution efforts for Typhoon Ondoy victims are doing. I keep on retweeting helpful information as much as I can and it warms my heart to see so many private citizens doing their share in helping the victims. Hello, everyone! I know it's been a very difficult two days for all of us here in the Philippines - more especially for those in Luzon. Typhoon Ondoy (international code name: Ketsana) has caused so much catastrophe in our country. It left thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, homeless, hungry and in pain. So far, a lot of deaths has already been reported and with another typhoon set to visit the country in the next 3 days (yes, unfortunately!), we really need to unite and help each other. Joey De Leon, Vic Sotto react to Willie Revillame’s decision to have the live feed of President Cory’s cortege removed

I just knew that it would only take a matter of time before Joey de Leon, one of the hosts in the GMA 7 noontime show "Eat Bulaga," gives his (violent) reaction on the controversial decision of Willie Revillame to have the live feed of President Cory Aquino's cortege from La Salle Greenhills to Manila Cathedral removed. The cortege was aired simultaneously with Revillame's noontime show "Wowowee" aired via ABS CBN Channel 2. We all know that Joey and Willie aren't exactly "good friends" so I guess this "parinig" that he made, along with co-host Vic Sotto, is but expected of Joey de Leon. Check out the video below. One of Mindanaoan's good investments last year was to buy a pair of Fitflops. Widely known as one of broadcasting mogul Oprah Winfrey's "favorite things," FitFlop makes it possible for the wearer to "get a workout while you walk." Fitflop is that fun flip flop with a gym built in! My flair for unusual things that offer more value and my curiosity as to why Oprah endorsed this brand compelled me to finally buy a pair (despite the pretty hefty price tag) last year...and I must say, it was money well-spent!
