In order to raise awareness about climate change and the various measures that we all should take in order to address such problem, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) has been organizing yearly Earth Hour events around the world. This year, Earth Hour 2013 will be a little more participatory and based on citizen initiative as WWF wants to encourage communities to start their own campaigns against climate change. Earth Hour 2013 is no longer just about asking people around the world to turn off non-essential lights for an hour. It's now about urging people to come up with more long-term solutions in order to combat climate change and further protect Mother Earth. Before the big Facebook takeover and during those days when Friendster put a limit to the number of photos you can upload, everyone was at Multiply. Back then, Multiply was where you can find your friends' photos (tons of them!), favorite videos and blog entries. Multiply was also where you can practice simple HTML skills - change the font size, place your "welcome greeting" on the center etc. Multiply also allowed users to see who already "viewed" their sites so unless a person kept his or her account totally private, it was a bit of challenge for everyone to upload comment-worthy or "view-worthy" entries. And yes, Multiply was also the home of so many budding Filipino entrepreneurs - all who maximized Multiply's site features to sell everything from shoes to bags to homemade pastries....

Cagayan de Oro – Dahilayan Mindanao Ultra Marathon 55K formally launched

And so it's formally confirmed! The home of Asia's longest dual cable zipline will also be the home of the much-awaited CDO - Dahilayan Trail 55k Ultra Marathon on July 9, 2011. Dahilayan Adventure Park will be the end point of what's believed to be the first ever mega marathon of this kind in Mindanao. Runners will follow the picture-perfect CDO - Dahilayan trail which covers one city (Cagayan de Oro) and two Bukidnon towns (the Municipalities of Libona and Manolo Fortich). From Rodelsa Circle in Cagayan de Oro City, the participants of the race, which will begin at 4 a.m., will then proceed to Barangay Indahag then to Barangay Kiliog. Mountain Madness Bike Race 2010

The All Terrain Trekkers and Cross-Country Klub (ATTACK) of Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao is celebrating its 12th anniversary and in line with this, the said biking and outdoor club is holding a mountain bike competition. The event, dubbed "Mountain Madness 11," will be held on December 5, 2010 in CDO, Mindanao. This mountain bike competition aims to draw mountain biking enthusiasts not only from Cagayan de Oro City but from nearby cities and provinces as well. The total length of the race route is 16 kilometers and the terrain includes concrete roads, creeks, single tracks and rough roads.
