Typhoon Sendong photos – Pulangui River Bukidnon

A blog reader of mine, Francis Awiten, sent these photos he took of the Pulangui River or Pulangi River, the longest river in the Province of Bukidnon, Mindanao, Philippines. Bukidnon was also hit by Typhoon Sendong. Typhoon Sendong's international name is Tropical Storm Washi. The death toll from Typhoon Sendong has reportedly reached 180 with nearly 400 people missing because of flash floods. Most of the victims' bodies were covered in mud. As you can see from the photos of Pulangui River, the water level really rose. Pulangui River Bukidnon has a length of 320 kilometers and traverses through majority of the cities and municipalities of Bukidnon from its source in Barangay Kalabugao, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon.

Here's a quick update to my previous post about the 10th anniversary celebration of Citihardware CDO. I was tapped as the event manager for Citi Hardware Cagayan de Oro 10th Anniversary celebration. That was my second project for Citihardware CDO. The first one was during the opening of its Citihardware Bulua branch. The Citihardware CDO 10th anniversary event was held at its newest and by far the second largest Citihardware outlet in the entire country - Citihardware Tablon (the largest one remains to be its Davao head office). I was to happy to hear the good news from the Office of Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan recently. Three Mindanaoan youth groups were among the winners in the 9th Search for Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) this year! Is Mindanao Philippines ready for another Hollywood film shooting? Which area or areas in Mindanao can easily be a great location for the next big Hollywood movie? I can't help but think about these after I read that Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz and a couple of other Hollywood actors and actresses are set to arrive in Manila, Philippines early next year for the shooting of "The Bourne Legacy." According to the Film Development Council of the Philippines, "Bourne Legacy" will shoot scenes in Manila, Philippines by January 2012. The movie is set for release sometime August 2012. Early this week, my cousins, some friends and I went to the Dahilayan Adventure Park in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. Just in case you still do not know, Dahilayan Adventure Park is home to Asia's longest dual cable zipline --- all 840 meters of it! The Bukidnon zipline adventure park is also 4,500 meters above sea level so the climate there's pretty cold :) Anyways, I'll tell you more about my recent trip to this Bukidnon tourist spot in another post. How fast time flies! It's now October and that means one thing --- it's Lanzones Festival time! Lanzones Festival is celebrated yearly in the beautiful island paradise that is Camiguin Island, Mindanao, Philippines! Color Me Badd. All 4 One. I literally waited decades before it happened. And when it finally did, I forgot all the questions that I wanted to ask All 4 One and Color Me Badd for the longest time. I just simply enjoyed every moment I spent with them, did not hesitate to let them know that I was a certified fan, became their self-appointed paparazzi for the day, screamed at the top of my lungs, danced onstage (gulp!) and told them again and again just how loved they all were, still are and always will be! And - get this - I spent time again with them a few days later, got autographs and a special video message from All 4 One and Color Me Badd for all my beloved readers!
