Christmas activities here and there! Have you done your Christmas shopping yet? I’ve already finished my initial Christmas shopping tasks but you guys know how it is during Christmas — nothing’s ever enough! It’s the season for good food, time with family and friends, merriment and loads and loads of shopping trips!
This season, why not hunt for bargains in the second “CDO CHRISTMAS BAZAAR – Handog Pamasko sa Kagay-an” at the Magsaysay Park, Divisoria. The Christmas bazaar will formally open on December 9, 2011. The Christmas bazaar, which will kick off with a variety show featuring local talents and artists, is a joint project of the Cagayan de Oro City local government and select students of the School of Business and Management – Xavier University. This CDO Christmas bazaar activity is also supported by the People’s Prosperity Center, a think-and-do tank for development efforts.
What I personally look forward to about this Christmas Bazaar in Cagayan de Oro City is the fact that enterprising students from local schools get to showcase select products as part of their feasibility study exposure and business incubation. The actual experience is expected to accord them actual hands-on experience and assimilate junior and senior students to the real world of business. During this Christmas event, business students will have the unique opportunity to make real business decisions pertaining to their project or enterprise. Moreover, the program is designed for academic integration into local community business development efforts particularly on social entrepreneurship undertakings.
