I've been tweeting about Typhoon Sendong since yesterday, Saturday, December 17, 2011. Survived strong rains and winds, endured hours of brownout, found out that we didn't have water supply, found out that our humble house in Cagayan de Oro City also got damaged and that we have no choice but to face business losses. I know, I know...this is a super delayed post. My apologies! I've been traveling a whole lot the past few days and I've also been very busy with some projects (more on these later). Is Mindanao Philippines ready for another Hollywood film shooting? Which area or areas in Mindanao can easily be a great location for the next big Hollywood movie? I can't help but think about these after I read that Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz and a couple of other Hollywood actors and actresses are set to arrive in Manila, Philippines early next year for the shooting of "The Bourne Legacy." According to the Film Development Council of the Philippines, "Bourne Legacy" will shoot scenes in Manila, Philippines by January 2012. The movie is set for release sometime August 2012. Color Me Badd. All 4 One. I literally waited decades before it happened. And when it finally did, I forgot all the questions that I wanted to ask All 4 One and Color Me Badd for the longest time. I just simply enjoyed every moment I spent with them, did not hesitate to let them know that I was a certified fan, became their self-appointed paparazzi for the day, screamed at the top of my lungs, danced onstage (gulp!) and told them again and again just how loved they all were, still are and always will be! So since the ARMM Elections 2011 did not push through, the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Screening Committee instead called for nominations to various ARMM OIC posts. Mindanaoan.com even posted the call for nominations days ago. Now, we just got the latest update. Apparently, the call for nominations for ARMM positions has lured in a total of 341 applicants! According to the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), a total of 341 nominations were forwarded to their office. I met him during the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3, which was held in Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao in 2009. I must admit that even a few days after my humble Mindanaoan.com blog won as Best Lifestyle Blog for Mindanao in the Philippine Blog Awards 2010, I still am on cloud 9. They may have paid P100,000.00 for the "board and lodging" but what's the most important is that they have their beloved relative back. Dr. Orlando Fajardo, the vice president of Basilan State College in Basilan, Mindanao, was released a few hours before Christmas at an area between the towns of Tuburan and Tipo-Tipo. Fajardo was captured two weeks ago at the BSC canteen. The Fajardo family reportedly paid P100,000.00 for the "board and lodging" of their relative. The money was also reportedly paid in installment. Basilan Vice Governor Al Rasheed Sakalahul said Fajardo was released at around 9:30 p.m. Christmas eve Thursday. Initially, the kidnappers wanted P20 million in ransom.
