Apart from renewing my Philippine passport and applying for a new e-passport, another thing that I did this week was renew my Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) permit. I've had mine for 5 years (how fast time flies, eh?) and it's now time for me to renew it and ensure that the name of my business as well as my services are duly registered and legally recognized by the DTI. Actually, a lot of newbie or aspiring entrepreneurs I know are hesitant to get a DTI permit for fear that it'll be too time consuming or that there will be a lot of requirements. Based on what I know about getting a DTI permit and based on my own experience, it's absolutely easy to apply for one. In fact, there's now a DTI resolution that makes DTI permit applications and renewals easier for Pinoy businessmen....

A website called Find Your Precinct has been set up and its goal is to help every Filipino find the location of the voting center for their precinct. Mindanaoan had the chance to cover the uber grand "Wowowillie meets Manny Villar" rally in Cebu City recently. Yes, it was "Wowowee" and popular host Willie Revillame meet Nacionalista Party standard bearer Manny Villar, vice presidential candidate Loren Legarda and senatorial bets Atty. Adel Tamano, Gilbert Remulla, Bongbong Marcos, among others. I was personally curious as to how the show would go. Of course, it was obviously a political affair in the guise of a variety show. Mexican themed restaurant Mooon Cafe is one of my favorite eating places in Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao. Apart from the yummy food, the prices are reasonable and the ambience is pretty laid back. Whenever there's a chance, I also see to it that I bring my mom and brothers to the said restaurant in CDO and we all share fun, family bonding over hearty meals at Mooon Cafe CDO. Mooon Cafe (yes, it has three "O's"!) Erik Santos at the BPInoy Life Series Cagayan de Oro City leg

Singer Erik Santos was the special guest during the BPInoy Life Series event in Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao last October 2, 2009. The BPInoy Life Series event, which was sponsored by Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), aimed to showcase the various services and products of BPI, Globe, Ayala Land and other partner agencies. Attendees of the event were mostly beneficiaries or recipients of foreign remittances (from Overseas Filipino Workers) or entrepreneurs who engaged in businesses that also dealt with foreign remittances.
