Review: Annebisyosa in Cagayan de Oro concert

Thanks to our super generous and lovely friends over at Airphil Express, I had the chance to watch the Annebisyosa in Cagayan de Oro concert a.k.a. Anne Curtis Live in CDO show last May 5, 2012. Fresh from witnessing first hand the signing of MOU between these congressmen and GK as well as the actual building of the homes for Typhoon Sendong victims (the congressmen used their own money for the homes, by the way! :) ), I, along with a few other blogger-friends, was treated to the Annebisyosa concert in CDO by Airphil Express, the fastest growing airline in the Philippines. Back when the deadly Typhoon Sendong (International name: Washi) hit Northern Mindanao in December 2011, I started a small Typhoon Sendong volunteer campaign and donation drive. What I initially envisioned to be a small and private donation drive grew bigger and bigger by the minute, thanks to the power of Twitter, Facebook, blogging and other online media tools. Suddenly, my photos became viral, my tweets about Sendong were retweeted, shared and replied to and my calls for help were heard. Government agencies, public officials, NGOs and even international news agencies followed me on Twitter, Facebook and through this blog, shared the infos I sent out and sent donations (which I am and will always be thankful for). It's official, folks! :) I have been chosen by the U.S. Department of State to visit the United States of America as a participant in the International Visitor Leadership Program or IVLP. I will leave for the U.S. on March 3, 2012 and will stay there until the first week of April 2012 :) Actually, the program that I will be a part of will only run for 3 weeks but I plan to stay a bit more to savor the sights and sounds of the USA. During the 3-week program, I will visit Washington, Orlando Florida, Salt Lake City Utah and Portland Oregon. I know, I know...this is a super delayed post. My apologies! I've been traveling a whole lot the past few days and I've also been very busy with some projects (more on these later). Cotabato City Crab Festival 2011

I love eating crabs. No, make that - I love, love, LOVE eating crabs! If you want to make me happy in an instant, serve me a crab dish. The regular steamed crab dish is my all time favorite. I also like roasted garlic crab, beer-steamed crab (yup, you read that right!), Sprite-steamed crab (again, you read that right!), ginger and scallion steamed crab, pepper crab and of course, the chilli crab (preferably cooked the Singaporean way!). Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival 2012 – Because things are better the second time around

Last February 18, 2011, Puerto Galera, Mindoro played host to thousands of people who came to celebrate music and art in paradise. The festival experienced excellent acoustics thanks to ECCP President and Malasimbo co-organizer Hubert d’Aboville, who generously provided his property, a natural amphitheatre overlooking the bay of Puerto Galera, which has been recognized since 1979 as a “Human Reserve of Man and Biosphere” (MAP program of UNESCO). The 2011 Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival, held at Mt. Malasimbo, was so successful that it left enthusiasts clamoring for more.
