Cagayan de Oro now placed under community quarantine – here are the guidelines

Fresh off the press! Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno has finally signed Executive Order Number 049-2020 placing entire CDO under community quarantine. This, in an effort to help prevent, limit and control exposure to the deadly Coronavirus Disease 2019 or COVID-19. The said EO takes effect immediately. The salient points in this executive order include: - all people in Cagayan de Oro are strongly directed to restrict his or her movements and remain in his or her residence especially folks who are at high risk of being infected by the virus (e.g. those 60 years old and above, those who are immunocompromised and pregnant women) - flexible work arrangements shall be encouraged in the private sector - movement of all types of cargoes within, to and from Cagayan de Oro s...

IT'S OFFICIAL. The Oro Association of Rafters (OAR) will now implement new and increased rates for white water rafting in Cagayan de Oro. These new CDO rafting rates will actually help the industry. Please read on so we may all understand :) Back in January, I first wrote about the rate increase proposal. Now, I learned that the new CDO rafting rates have already been duly approved and that all of the rafting outfitters have started implementing them last October 1, 2016. Singer Erik Santos was the special guest during the BPInoy Life Series event in Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao last October 2, 2009. The BPInoy Life Series event, which was sponsored by Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), aimed to showcase the various services and products of BPI, Globe, Ayala Land and other partner agencies. Attendees of the event were mostly beneficiaries or recipients of foreign remittances (from Overseas Filipino Workers) or entrepreneurs who engaged in businesses that also dealt with foreign remittances. Meeting the CDO Bloggers group

MINDANAO - I'm currently in Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao and just got back from a pretty fruitful meeting with some of the members of the CDO Bloggers group. Mindanaoan joined their regular officers' meeting and pitched in some of my thoughts for the upcoming Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3, which will be held in Cagayan de Oro City come October 24, 2009. The meeting was held at one of the coffee shops here in the City of Golden Friendship. I found the CDO Bloggers to be very friendly and warm. They also welcomed new ideas and suggestions.
