John Mayer and his songs are a big part of my life. I used to think that most, if not all, of his songs were fit for certain phases of my life. Sure, he may be known these days as one notorious chick magnet (he only managed to catch Jennifer Aniston lang naman), a kiss-and-tell boyfriend (read: Jessica Simpson) and one sorry fool who thought he could “intellectualize an emotionally filled” racist term but I guess we can’t deny that John Clayton Mayer has produced great, chart-topping songs.
This John Mayer song below, entitled “Daughters,” for instance, gave me goosebumps the very first time I heard it. I felt he was singing this song especially for me:
This one below, on the other hand, entitled “Slow Dancing In A Burning Room” is a hands-down sexy song:
I also love “Say” (OST 0f the “Bucket List” flick) and the popular song “Waiting On The World To Change” (but of course!)
So you can just imagine how excited I was when I heard that John Mayer was coming to town!
The show was initially slated for May this year but was moved to October 1, 2010.

I am also a huge fan of John Mayer. I was fortunate to be able to catch 2 of his U.S. shows this year. Being that I’m Filipino, I’m super proud that he is going to PI to perform! I wish I was there!! Please post another blog about how his performance went!! I’m so hoping that people attending his Manila concert will post on YouTube!! Also, did JM guest on any shows there or do any interviews???

I’m a big John Mayer fan ever since his Room For Square days and, like you, I was more than excited to see him live in Manila.
The rain did not stop the revelry last Frida, in fact, it added to the concert ambience, as if to tell me that rain or shine, John will deliver–and he did. I love that he played most of his Room For Squares songs. He;s definitely the artist I’ll be following until I grow old.
Here’s hoping for more JM concerts this side of the world.
