Themed “Kalamboan sa Kinaiyahan: Kadayawan sa Katawhan” (Nature’s Flourishing: People’s Well Being), the 29th Kadayawan sa Dabaw will also serve as a thanksgiving celebration and will provide the platform for the various indigenous tribes Ata Manobo, Ubo Manobo, K’lata, Matigsalug, Maranao, Tagabawa, Maguindanao, Sama, Tausug and Kalagan to converge.

The word “Kadayawan” comes from the Mandaya word “Madayaw” which means anything valuable, good, pleasant, beautiful and bountiful.
