A big thank you Cebu!

I’m back from a truly awesome Cebu vacation! 🙂

My Cebu trip was a long delayed one. I was supposed to be there last year but things just got a little too busy for me. Apart from the Typhoon Sendong relief operations I started in Cagayan de Oro, I was also commissioned to do various social media projects and online publicity work. I was also involved in organizing and promoting some events. I also organized blogging and digital media workshops. And then of course, there was that International Visitor Leadership Program experience 🙂 So I guess you could say that my recently concluded Cebu trip was a much-needed one!

Anyways, this blog post will be more of a “thank you” post for all of the wonderful, generous people as well as establishments that made my Cebu trip a really memorable one.

I would like to thank, first and foremost, the one and only Queen of Cebu – one of the people I admire so much – Jude Bacalso. Jude is presently the editor-at-large for Cebu Daily News and is also a travel writer for Mabuhay and Smile. Thank you so much Jude for the warmth and kindness. You are heaven sent!

I would also like to thank Carlo of Waterfront Cebu Hotel and Casino – Lahug and Tin Gow Restaurant, Yumny and Kyra of Marco Polo Plaza Cebu and Cafe Marco, Mina of Radisson Blu Cebu, Aileen of Maribago Bluewater Resort Mactan, Andrea of Islands Stay Hotel and Jeff of Islands Banca Cruises.

Thank you very much to Islands Group CEO Jay Aldeguer for the kindness and generosity!

Thank you Glenn Soco (who’s set to run again for Cebu Vice Governor this 2013) and beauty queen Anna Igpit for the coffee treat at Coffee Dream 🙂

Thank you very much to Cebu 3rd District Congressman Pablo John Garcia for the kind assistance. Rep. Garcia (who will run for Cebu governor this 2013 elections, by the way) treated me to a trip to Oslob, Cebu to see and swim with whale sharks or butandings (or tukis, as they are locally known). To swim with the whale sharks at Oslob Cebu was really quite the thrill!

I would also like to thank Cebu 6th District Congressman Luigi Quisumbing for the treat he gave me, my mother and my brother. That was really something – salamat gyud kaayo 🙂

As you can see, my Cebu trip was really one for the books, thanks to these people 🙂

Thank you Cebu!

Please stay tuned for more Cebu-related articles including hotel reviews and my memorable swim-with-the-whale-sharks bit!
