David Beckham in Manila, Philippines! Be still my heart! Twitter, Facebook, news websites and other social networking sites were abuzz with the news of the upcoming arrival of British football superstar David Beckham and the rest of his team Los Angeles Galaxy or LA Galaxy in the Philippines come December 3, 2011. David Beckham and LA Galaxy will be in Manila for a friendly match against the Philippine national football team Azkals.
The news of David Beckham in Philippines was made by Azkals team coordinator Ace Bright via Twitter Saturday night.
“LA Galaxy and Azkals, dec 4 rizal stadium :),” Bright wrote.
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! I absolutely want to watch this and of course, meet David Beckham! No, make that THE GREAT David Beckham!

Anyhoo, I think this David Beckham and LA Galaxy report is pretty much a sealed deal since according to the promoter of the LA Galaxy tour, everything is “about 80 percent confirmed.”
YAY!
There’s also a report that David Beckham or Becks will hold a sports clinic. Hopefully some Mindanaoan footballers can join that, no? I think that’ll be a great opportunity for deserving football players from Mindanao to meet him!
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE: IT’S NOW OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED! David Beckham will be in Manila! David Beckham and LA Galaxy will be in Manila on December 2, 2011 for a football clinic and on December 3, 2011, 7 PM for a game against the Philippine Azkals!
David Beckham is undoubtedly the world’s most recognizable footballer today. He helped the Manchester United team win the Premiere League title a couple of times before. He signed up with the Los Angeles Galaxy squad in 2007. His contract is set to expire at the end of the season, though.
So who else is excited to see David Beckham in Manila?
