So I’m back from a very brief visit to my hometown, Davao City, Mindanao. While it felt refreshing to be back home, my stay was a painfully short one so it was still really BITIN. My mother, brothers and I were in Wadab town to celebrate one my younger brothers’ birthday. Anyways, the highlight of my Davao City trip was the much-awaited Xcelerator adventure. I have so much to share about my Outland Adventure Xcelerator adventure (I’ll also share some photos!) – I’ll write more about that tomorrow.
In the meantime, I’d just like to share with you all a little bit of info that I got while we were at Outland Adventure. One of the staff members talked to me and told me that a zip line ala Xcelerator might be put up in Cagayan de Oro City (which is roughly 6 hours away from Davao City by bus). The staff member, a male foreigner, even told me that they already met up with someone from the Paras Family (of PARASAT Cable TV and Paras Beach Resort Camiguin) – I’m not sure if they spoke to PARASAT CEO Engr. Elpidio Paras, though. In any case, I was really elated with the news. I really hope that CDO will soon play host to a zip line adventure — perhaps the zip line might even be longer than the Xcelerator, which is currently recognized as the longest speed zip line in all of Asia!
I know zip lines aren’t new in Cagayan de Oro City. In fact, I have tried the zip line and canopy walk over at the Macahambus Cave (spent my birthday last year enjoying the zip line, canopy walk and white water rafting adventure package!).
Still, it would be great if a longer zip line would be put up…don’t you think so?
