Mindanaoan band EEVEE bags Nescafe Soundskool 2009 top plum

Mindanaoan band EEVEE bagged the top prize in the recently concluded Nescafe 3in1 Soundskool 2009 finals held in Manila. EEVEE, which represented the Philippine Women's College of Davao City, bested 13 other groups from all over the Philippines. EEVEE received P250,000.00 cash, an exclusive recording contract with Sony Music Philippines and their school, PWC, will receive P100,000.00 worth of music equipment. A few days before the grand finals, EEVEE and the 12 other bands underwent workshops in Boracay. They were all briefed on the ins and outs of the Philippine music industry, coached on songwriting techniques and performance styles. Nescafe 3in1 Soundskool 2009 Mindanao regional finals winners declared

The winners of the Nescafe 3in1 Soundskool 2009 Mindanao regional finals were declared last Saturday, October 3, 2009 via an afternoon-long musical event held at The Atrium of the Limketkai Mall in Cagayan de Oro City, Northern Mindanao. Little School House of Xavier University, EEVEE of Philippine Women's College Davao City and Disco, Disco, Disco of St. Michael's College were declared the winners of the Mindanao eliminations. College bands and other young musicians from all over the region will vie this Saturday, October 3, 2009, for the Nescafe 3-in-1 Soundskool 2009 Mindanao Regional Finals. The event will take place at 2PM at the Limketkai Atrium, Limketkai Mall, Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao. The event is part of the nationwide tour to select the cream of the crop among the college bands that have sent in their entries up until early September this year. The Nescafe Soundskool regional finals this Saturday will be the first of four elimination rounds. I like promos that do not only advocate services or products but also encourage participation in a worthy cause. Just take the case of NESTLE Fruit Selection Yogurt's newest campaign called "Be Good To Yourself" (I first learned of this through Nuffnang) This campaign is truly a good way to start being good to yourself.
