General Santos City native Marvin “Marvelous” Sonsona recently defeated veteran Jose Lopez in a fight in Canada. Ang get this — Marvelous Marvin Sonsona is just 19 years old! Wow! Which reminds me…Perhaps Marvin should reconsider his boxer name and change it to Marvelous Mindanaoan Marvin Sonsona! Hehe 😀
Lopez is said to be undefeated for 6 years. Unfortunately for him, a Mindanao boxer took up the challenge and…well…the world now knows who’s better 😉
Sonsona, who boxing experts say has powerful southpaw stance, fought in the junior bantamweight division. He defeated Jose Lopez via decision.
