Frequent travelers like myself have various reasons as to why we return and stay again at a certain hotel. We rebook a hotel room in Cebu, for instance, because we love the features of the room and the amenities. And the price, as well as the location, are perfect. Swak sa budget, ‘ika nga.
Just a few days ago, I found myself back at Bayfront Hotel Cebu. Straight from New York to Cebu, I needed a Cebu hotel where I can just rest, rest, and yes, REST.
Aside from all the reasons I previously mentioned, what made me return to Bayfront Hotel Cebu City is the exceptional service, courteousness and professionalism of the staff. Let me cite some examples. First, as soon as I arrived, the staff immediately helped me with my luggage. They then secured my bags, waited for me to check-in and offered to bring my bags straight to my room. On my way to my room, staff members greeted me with warm smiles and sincere hello’s. I also loved the fact that my room was ready as soon as I entered — aircon was on and just at the right temperature. I don’t know about you but I just love little details like these!

As you can see in the video, I also included a look at their breakfast and dinner buffets at their in-house restaurant, Cafe Breeze, plus the bento box and pumpkin soup I ordered for room service as soon as I arrived at the hotel. May I just say that the pumpkin soup was creamy and delish?
As for the buffets, they were value-for-money. The breakfast one is actually complimentary for hotel guests. The rates for the lunch and dinner buffets are as follows:
MONDAY TO THURSDAY
Lunch (12 PM to 3 PM) or Dinner (6 PM to 9 PM) – Php 399 per person
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY AND HOLIDAYS
Lunch (12 PM to 3 PM) or Dinner (6 PM to 9 PM) – Php 499 per person
To know more about their various rooms (standard, superior, suite and barkada), you may want to read my earlier blog post about where to stay in Cebu.
Other things to quickly note about this Cebu downtown hotel:
– There’s a 7-Eleven convenience store at the ground floor
– There are function rooms (from small meeting rooms to a ballroom) and parking spaces
– Health buffs also don’t need to skip workouts. The hotel’s Sweat Gym has the equipment you need for quick but efficient workout sessions while on a trip.
Bayfront Hotel Cebu is along Kaohsiung Street, North Reclamation Area, Cebu City. A mere stone’s throw away from SM City Cebu, roughly 7 minutes from the pier and 20 minutes from the airport. A new Bayfront Hotel property at the Capitol area is also in the offing.
