Here are the important Barangay and SK Elections 2013 Philippines dates to remember, voter registration requirements and transfer of voter registration records requirements. Please exercise your right to suffrage!
For SK: 15 to below 18 years old – please bring birth certificate or baptismal certificate or school records
For Barangay: at least 18 years old or older, bring valid ID
Voter qualifications: To vote in the barangay elections, you must be at least 18 years old on election day (October 28, 2013), a Filipino citizen, a resident of the Philippines for at least 1 year, a resident of the place where you’ll vote for at least 6 months immediately prior to the elections
JULY 22 to JULY 31, 2013 – filing of application for registration as a voter or transfer of registration records
OCTOBER 15 to OCTOBER 17, 2013 – filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COCs)
OCTOBER 28, 2013 – Election day in the country’s 42,000 barangays, a Monday
NOVEMBER 27, 2013 – filing of sworn statements of election contributions and expenditures
Take note: the election period covering the Philippine Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections will run from September 28 to November 12, 2013
