Quest Hotel and Conference Center Cebu grand launch @QuestHotelCebu

What do you do when you receive an invitation to experience quite an “odyssey”? You say YES, my friends. Just say yes!

And that’s exactly what I did when the wonderful folks from Quest Hotel and Conference Center Cebu sent over an invitation for me to experience Odyssey – the Grand Launch Party of Quest Hotel Cebu – the newest addition to the hotel industry in Cebu City.

The grand opening of Quest Hotel and Conference Center Cebu was held last September 20, 2012 at the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, Pusô Bistro & Bar. Guests were requested to come in purple or white. As soon as you enter the venue, which was embraced by purple lights, you’d immediately know that the night will be one for the books. Upbeat music was courtesy of Australian DJ Kristian Hernandez.

To say that the Quest Hotel Cebu grand opening was star-studded is, truth be told, an understatement.

It was MAGICAL, spectacular and definitely a treat for the senses! There were also so many name-droppables that night – from socialites to philanthropists to corporate honchos to top media personalities to key government officials.

The owners of Filinvest, FilArchipelago, members of the Gotianun family, Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama, investors, industry partners and top officials of Quest Hotel as well as Crimson Resort were present.

Quest Hotel Cebu also kept all the guests quenched by serving delish drinks. I particularly loved the “Purple Rain” drink they served that night. I loved it so much I tried to copy it when I got home…to no avail. Guess that only means one thing – I have to go back and stay at Quest Hotel Cebu again 🙂

I have a theory, though. Maybe I should have one like this at home to ensure that all our drinks taste really, really good? 😉

And the food…the delectable food! The chefs of Quest Hotel and Conference Center Cebu definitely put out all the stops that night to make sure that they only serve mouthwatering, succulent food that guests will continue to talk about long after the event.

I mean, who could forget these?

Now if that wasn’t a feast for the senses, I don’t know what is.

One of the highlights and perhaps the most interesting activity during the grand launch party of Quest Hotel Cebu was the impromptu painting of the Quest commemorative art piece. Cebuano artist Anthony Fermin painted the art piece LIVE and even asked the top honchos of Quest to sign.

And finally…the unveiling of the Quest Hotel signage at the entrance of the hotel:

The party didn’t end there, though. All the guests continued to enjoy the upbeat music and the melt-in-your-mouth desserts (which were all housed in a room of its own, by the way!).

It truly was quite the odyssey!

Before I retired to my room that night, one of the things that piqued my interest was the fact that Quest Hotel and Conference Center Cebu City was merely tagged as “3-star.” Judging by the amenities, the service, the food – I think this Cebu hotel should actually be considered a 5-star hotel minus the hefty price tag. Truly budget-friendly for the discerning traveler.

Quest Hotel Cebu manager James Montenegro said it best: “The opening of Quest Hotel Cebu is a grand testament that the Philippines can offer a world-class hotel adhering to high quality standards to fill the gap of business and leisure travelers seeking friendly-budget hotels in the market.”

So the next time you find yourself in the Queen City of the South, stay at an affordable hotel with premium services. Quest Hotel Cebu has 427 rooms and suites and 10 meeting/function rooms – all equipped with facilities designed for hassle-free events. The location of this hotel in Cebu is a winner, too. It’s conveniently located right across Ayala Mall Cebu and within the Cebu business district.

Thank you Quest Hotel for taking me along on your journey!
