Missy Bon Bon Breadshop is a new breadshop, pastry shop and gelato store in Cagayan de Oro City, Northern Mindanao. From a humble stall at the 2nd floor of Robinson’s Mall CDO, Missy Bonbon now has a second branch – a full, working store along Rosario Drive, Limketkai Mall, CDO.
Because this blogger from Mindanao missed the invitation sent out by the owner of Missy Bon Bon for a nice, chillaxin’ bloggers day cum breakfast meet-up a few weeks ago , I was all too happy to check their store out as soon as I got back from Manila. I met some fellow bloggers there for an afternoon meeting.
I was not disappointed.
Well, okay, except for one tiny thing which I’ll mention after the jump.
In the meantime, check out the delicious array of gelatos (Italian ice cream) found at Missy Bon Bon Cagayan de Oro: (reminds you of my Gelatissimo experience, yes?) I bought the pistachio flavored one – yum!
Now for the uninitiated – gelato tastes a bit “warmer” than ice cream. I’m not kidding. Gelato is Italian ice cream and is a bit “healthier” compared to standard ice cream since it contains less butterfat.
Apart from the gelatos, you can also find delectable pastries and breads at Missy Bon Bon Breadshop CDO. Check out the photo Mindanaoan took:
Now for a teensy weensy comment about this new CDO hangout – I was a bit frustrated that Missy Bon Bon Breadshop Cagayan de Oro only had one comfort room for both males and females. I guess (and hope) that it’s because of the limited space but still…I think it could have been great if they had separate washrooms. During my visit, I had to wait in line for a good 20 minutes! Nope, that certainly wasn’t good news for my urinary tracts.
Other than this minor detail, I liked my afternoon stay at Missy Bon Bon.
By the way, this new joint is owned by the same people behind Bigby’s Cafe.
WHAT ABOUT YOU? HAVE YOU BEEN TO MISSY BON BON? WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE LIKE?
