Love Me Again (Land Down Under) opens today

The latest offering of Star Cinema, ABS-CBN Channel 2's film production outfit, is set to open in theaters nationwide today, January 15, 2009. "Love Me Again (Land Down Under)," which stars Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual, will be shown in theaters nationwide starting today --- unfortunately (and ironically, I guess?) it won't be shown in the very province that they shot the movie in. "Love Me Again" won't be shown in Bukidnon, Mindanao, Philippines for the mere reason that there aren't ANY movie houses or theaters in the Province of Bukidnon. Trans-Asia Shipping Lines makes Cagayan de Oro to Cebu travel even faster, better

Traveling from Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao to Cebu City, Visayas (and vice versa) is now made even better, faster and more comfortable with Trans-Asia Shipping Lines' new ship! The MV Trans-Asia 3 has started serving the Cagayan de Oro and Cebu routes and so far, passengers have been highly satisfied. Trans-Asia Shipping Lines bought this new ship from Japan, a passenger-cargo vessel with vehicle deck that can accommodate 707 passengers. The new ship has 2,908.47 gross tonnage and has a good cruising speed of 18 knots. This means that travel between Cagayan de Oro and Cebu will now only be at a mere 9 hours. Bukidnon provincial government employees receive P50,000 Christmas bonus

So how much did you receive as Christmas bonus this year? If you think your ten or twenty thousand pesos is already a big amount, think again. Government employees in Bukidnon received fifty thousand pesos for their bonus this December. Yes, Provincial Government of Bukidnon (PGB) employees received P50,000.00 each (more than a thousand US dollars) this year. Don't be too surprised, though, because the said amount is actually LESSER than what the regular Bukidnon provincial government employees received last year. The year 2007 saw each and every regular provincial government of Bukidnon employee receiving a staggering eighty thousand pesos (P80,000.00) Interestingly, some of my friends working in the PGB said that the P50,000.00 still wasn't enough. Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin cowboy movie trailer released

Star Cinema, the producing outfit of the Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin starrer "Love Me Again," has officially released the said movie's trailer. The cowboy movie, which originally had the title "Land Down Under," is part of the ABS-CBN film outfit's 15th Year Anniversary celebration. The movie was shot partly in the northern outback territory of Australia but majority of the scenes were shot in scenic Bukidnon, Mindanao. Bukidnon is located at the southern part of the Philippines. Bukidnon to host Mindanao confab of provincial board members

The Province of Bukidnon is set to host the 8th Mindanao Island Conference of the The Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines. The event, themed "One Island, One Mindanao, Give Peace a Chance," will be held at the Kaamulan Open Theater, Malaybalay City from November 12 to 14, 2008. Bukidnon 2nd District Board Member Atty. Nemesio Beltran, Jr. said that the conference will see the attendance of hundreds of provincial legislators from all over Mindanao. Beltran also said that Bukidnon's very own, Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri, is expected to attend the event. Zubiri, who previously served as Bukidnon 3rd District Congressman, is set to deliver the keynote speech. Bukidnon Board Member Ben Pancrudo will act as lead convener.

Several exciting tales, funny anecdotes and clearly soon-to-be urban legends/tales have begun to sprout.
