New U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission to attend Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3

The new United States Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission, Leslie A. Bassett, will speak during the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3 which will be held on October 24, 2009 at Pearlmont Inn, Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao. Bassett will represent US Ambassador Kristie Kenney who initially agreed to attend the MBS 3 but had to attend to other pressing matters. The Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3 in CDO will be Bassett's first ever Mindanao trip. Previously, Bassett served as DCM in Mexico.
