With Daddy’s Home of X Factor Philippines

From a breakfast meeting in Cagayan de Oro to several errands here and there to a 3-hour journey to Malaybalay City, Bukidnon just to catch friends - it was all super worth it! Very happy to see Daddy's Home again. This vocal group bagged the 2nd runner-up title during the first run of X Factor Philippines and they performed in one of the Malaybalay City Charter Day 2015 events last March 20, 2015 at Freedom Park. To say that they brought the house down is actually an understatement. The guys really gave their all - it was such a treat to watch them perform live and wow the crowd! I know brothers Ebet and Allan Silonga back when E was still busy with K24/7. Allan - wow, you have to hear this man sing. PHOTOS: Vice Ganda Joins Kaamulan Bukidnon celebration

Took these photos of Vice Ganda during the 2014 Kaamulan Festival slash 100th Founding Anniversary of Bukidnon. Just like the print on Vice Ganda's shirt, "Sorry I'm bad" because I only shared these now :D Anyway, Vice performed right after Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla (KathNiel loveteam). I also have photos of the KathNiel loveteam HERE. The show happened last September 1, 2014 at the Capitol Grounds, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. Aside from Vice Ganda, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, host and club owner Tim Yap was also there. I was granted VIP access so was able to take these shots. "It's Showtime" hurado Jhong Hilario was one of the celebrities who visited Bukidnon for the 2014 Kaamulan Festival, the yearly gathering of the Province of Bukidnon's 7 hill tribes. Jhong Hilario joined Kamikazee for the SMART sponsored night held last August 31, 2014 at the Capitol Grounds, Malaybalay City. If ABS CBN brought in Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla for Kaamulan Festival 2014 (Bukidnon's yearly gathering of 7 hill tribes), GMA 7 brought in 4 of their celebrities. During the Kapuso Night held last August 30, 2014 at the Capitol Grounds in Malaybalay City, Yasmien Kurdi, JC Tiuseco, Enzo Pineda and Jeric Gonzales performed before a crowd composed of tens of thousands. Congratulations to GMA 7 for the successful event! Kaamulan Festival 2014 in Bukidnon moved

The Kaamulan Festival 2014 in Bukidnon will now be celebrated the entire month of August. In the past few years, Bukidnon celebrates Kaamulan Festival every end of February to March 10, supposedly the day the province celebrates its founding anniversary. However, the Provincial Government of Bukidnon has recently passed a resolution stating that the founding anniversary should be celebrated every September. To clarify, however, Kaamulan Festival has been celebrated every August before. So I guess this development is more like a "homecoming" (to the original date!) of sorts :) The culmination of the 2014 Kaamulan Festival will be held on September 1. Highlight during that day will be the streetdancing competition, where all 20 municipalities and 2 cities of Bukidnon will send continge...

MALAYBALAY CITY | BUKIDNON | KAAMULAN FESTIVAL 2013 - As I previously mentioned, this blogger from Mindanao was in Bukidnon for the Kaamulan Festival 2013, the yearly festival that also serves as the gathering of Bukidnon's 7 hill tribes. I made sure I attended this year's Kaamulan Festival since I missed it last year, having been sent by the U.S. Embassy to take part in the U.S. State Department's International Visitor Leadership Program. Not only is the festival a chance for me to witness cultural diversity and rich traditions, it is also a chance for me to be with friends and family. Hi everybody! This Mindanao blogger was in the Province of Bukidnon for the Kaamulan Festival, a yearly gathering of Bukidnon's 7 hill tribes. One of the festival highlights was the much-awaited San Miguel Beer Night or SMB Night, which was held last March 10, 2013 at the Capitol Grounds, Malaybalay City. My dearest friends Jojo and Jacquee invited me and a bunch of other friends to watch the SMB Night concert, which was headlined by no less than iconic Filipino band Rivermaya and up-and-coming pop funk band Save Me Hollywood :) VIP treatment - backstage access - seats nearest the stage (although my friends and I chose to be a part of the moshpit instead!) and here's the coolest part - unlimited San Miguel Beer! :D Thanks so much SMB, Jojo and Jacquee! Mindanao tourist spot: Alalum Falls in Sumilao Bukidnon

Let's take a break from all my Cebu and Philippine Blog Awards-related posts :) I'm sharing photos I recently took of a Bukidnon tourist spot - the Alalum Falls found at Kisolon, Sumilao, Bukidnon. This Bukidnon waterfalls is probably the most accessible in the entire province of Bukidnon since it's located along Sayre Highway and just a few meters away from the Municipal Hall of Sumilao, Bukidnon. Two members of Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao-based TEAM ORO, a group composed of fine photographers, videographers, stylists and graphic designers, met a very serious car accident just this week. Aye Navarro and Cocong Ohashi sustained serious injuries, burns and bruises. Aye’s car was totally wrecked and Cocong underwent an operation for internal bleeding. Both will have to stay at the hospital until they are fully recovered. In line with this, TEAM ORO will have a Portrait for a Cause and Basic Photography Workshop/Tutorial. All proceeds will go to Aye and Cocong's medications and hospital bills.
