Get paid using your phone | Negosyo app lets you receive online, QR payments

As more and more businesses turn to digital means in order to cope with the current pandemic, the need for innovative mobile payment measures is also on the rise. Good thing our friends over at PayMaya know how to help entrepreneurs and they even make it extra easy!

PayMaya recently unveiled its latest mobile payment innovation – the all-new PayMaya Negosyo app. This app allows merchants – from our kapitbahay who just started selling kakanin to small business owners and even to the veteran trade bigwigs – to easily and quickly accept online payments and payments via QR code within just 1 to 2 days.

If you ask me, this is absolutely helpful because not only do customers prefer easy, convenient and online ways to pay for purchases, contactless payments are now highly encouraged, given the current public health situation. Another beauty of using the PayMaya Negosyo app is that you can accept digital payments even if you don’t have an e-commerce website.

The PayMaya Negosyo app is available for Android users.

  • Accept payments from PayMaya users via PayMaya QR which can be shared in their social media pages and chat apps;
  • Receive payments from upgraded PayMaya users through the Send Money function of the app;
  • Process bank transfer payments from any InstaPay-participating bank and e-wallet in the Philippines.

How to avail of the Negosyo app

Download the app from Google Play. Interested merchants only need to sign up through the app using their mobile number.

Upload one valid government ID as well as a video selfie for liveliness check, and wait 24 to 48 hours for their application to be reviewed and approved so they can start accepting digital payments right away.

Fastest way to accept contactless payments

Once the payments are received in the merchant’s PayMaya Negosyo wallet, they can then transfer these amounts to their respective bank accounts also via InstaPay.

Compared with PayMaya consumer accounts that just have a P100,000 account limit for upgraded users, ‘Negosyo’ app users have a monthly limit of up to P250,000.

On a personal note, I have been using PayMaya for a long time and I find the app very easy to use. It really comes in handy especially if you want to do cashless payments! I also like that it is part of the Smart Padala network of over 30,000 partner agents nationwide.
