If you’re not a fan of the TV series “Friends,” then you’d think this is just an ordinary building. However, for certified “Friends” fans like me, my Mama and my three younger brothers (we have virtually watched all seasons including the bloopers millions of times – okay, that’s an exaggeration but you get the drift!), HOLY CRAP this almost feels like home. I guess this is what they mean when they say “only fans can understand.”
Visiting the New York apartment building where Monica (Courtney Cox), Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Joey (Matt LeBlanc) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) (and Ross (David Schwimmer), at one point) lived is like a pilgrimage.
READ: I saw David Schwimmer in person!!!
In fact, at the risk of sounding like a wuss, I got emotional when I saw the Friends apartment building here in New York that I shed a tear or two. Good thing I wasn’t alone. There were a number of fellow fans there (one took a video of himself while shouting, “They were on a breaakkk!”) and some cried while others just couldn’t stop smiling.
Before I show you the actual Friends apartment building NYC, let me share with you a cool sign I found along the way:
WORD.
Anyway, okay, first things first. In the TV series, it’s said that the apartment is in Greenwich Village (Apartment 20). Obviously, that address is fake.
The actual location of the “Friends” building New York is at the corner of Grove and Bedford
Tadaaaaa:
And here’s proof that I did see it in person (LOL):
And, yes, there really is a food establishment at the ground floor. However, it’s NOT named Central Perk. Instead, you can see The Little Owl restaurant there.
Tip: If you’re using Google Maps, key in “90 Bedford Street NY 10014” as location. Take lots of photos! ENJOY 🙂

Thank you for visiting 🙂 I have a new post about seeing David Schwimmer in person, too!
