Like any "Friends" fan worth her salt, I just HAD to see at least one of the cast members, no? As fate would have it, I saw the amazingly talented David Schwimmer, who played my favorite character, "Ross," first! Maybe I just got lucky because David Schwimmer a.k.a. Ross Geller lives in New York while the other cast members reside in the West Coast. Anyway, that doesn't matter. What matters is --- I SAW ROSS!

Hollywood has had a long-running, on again-off again relationship with the state of New York. I say that in the sense of plenty of TV shows and movies have been filmed there, but there are also plenty of other locations around the world where television shows and movies have been filmed as well, so Hollywood may stray away from New York for a little while, but it always comes back and has created movies and some of television’s most notable shows that are still relevant today!
There are certain TV shows and movies that immediately come to mind when you think of New York. For example, Seinfeld, Friends, and Sex and the City are big ones that come to mind. Although some of these shows were filmed as early as the late 80s, they can still be seen on television today… that just goes to show ...
If you're not a fan of the TV series "Friends," then you'd think this is just an ordinary building. However, for certified "Friends" fans like me, my Mama and my three younger brothers (we have virtually watched all seasons including the bloopers millions of times - okay, that's an exaggeration but you get the drift!), HOLY CRAP this almost feels like home. I guess this is what they mean when they say "only fans can understand."
Visiting the New York apartment building where Monica (Courtney Cox), Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Joey (Matt LeBlanc) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) (and Ross (David Schwimmer), at one point) lived is like a pilgrimage.
