Review: EMR Suites in Koronadal City, Mindanao

EMR Suites Koronadal CityMy companions and I were billeted at EMR Suites in Koronadal City, Mindanao last week.

We were in the land formerly called Marbel for a two-day gig at EMR Center, which was actually just a few steps away from EMR Suites.

Two words to describe my 3-night stay? UBER COMFORTABLE.

My room had a large queen sized bed (you may also opt for the room with two single beds), an airconditioning unit, a table large enough for you to place your laptop and a few work-related stuff on, a few stools (my room had three), a large flat screen TV, cable connection and space for your clothes.

The bathroom, meanwhile, was clean (this is very important, of course). It had hot and cold shower. Water current was strong, which I liked. I was also provided with a towel, a roll of toilet paper and a small bar of soap. Not bad for a room that cost only P500.00!

EMR Suites is actually relatively new — they just opened last January 2009 and more rooms are being built at the back part of the property. The basic amenities are now available, though, so you need not worry.

EMR Suites in Koronadal City, Mindanao also serves reasonably priced food. Their breakfast meals, for instance, only cost P70.00. If you need your daily dose of caffeine, you can also order coffee for only P20.00 Really afforable prices, I tell you.

Additionally, what makes EMR Suites an ideal place to stay while in Koronadal City is the fact that it’s just a few steps away from EMR Center, a venue well-known for its roster of live bands, disco nights, regular concerts (some of their recent performers include Vhong Navarro and the Streetboys, comedian Vice Ganda, singer Vina Morales and rapper Andrew E.) and videoke VIP rooms. Hence, there’s no need to think twice about where you can spend the entire night dancing or just laying back, listening to a live band perform and enjoying that bottle of ice cold beer.

And if you need to go downtown, you can ride one of the motorcycle-driven public utility vehicles. Fare from EMR Suites to Koronadal City’s KCC Mall, for instance, will only cost P8.00

All in all — I highly recommend EMR Suites in Koronadal City, Mindanao. Stay at EMR Suites if you’re on a budget, if you need a reasonably priced room or if you need a comfortable place to stay while in the land formerly called Marbel.
