DSS Fireworks Dumaguete wins 1st Cagayan Pyrolympics during Kagay-an Festival 2009

The award-winning DSS Fireworks of Dumaguete City bagged the grand prize in the recently concluded 1st Cagayan de Oro Fireworks Competition (Pyrolympics) held at the Gran Via Lot (beside SM City CDO). DSS Fireworks, a four-time grand champion of Buglasan Festival in San Carlos, also got the top prize during the Sinulog Festival 2009 fireworks contest. Mindanaoan was among the thousands of people who trooped to the Gran Via Lot last August 29, 2009 to witness the fireworks display. I went with my brother Bon, who fortunately brought his motorcycle. One of the Philippines' most popular heartthrobs will invade Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao! John Lloyd Cruz, star of mega hit movies "One More Chance" and "A Very Special Love," will headline the ABS CBN Cagayan de Oro and SM City CDO-sponsored Kapamilya Karavan 2009. Hi everyone! Hi to all readers of Mindanaoan! :) Just a quick blog entry. My brother Bon, along with other Mindanaoan artists, will hold a public doodling event today, August 26, 2009, in front of Spruce, Limketkai Mall, Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao. This is one "vandalism but with consent" event you might not want to miss! :) The artists will doodle (a form of sketching) for two days and the finished product will be showcased at Spruce. Mindanaoan will be among those who will take photos and who will cheer the artists on, of course! :) So if you want to witness talented artists from Mindanao in action, please don't hesitate to visit Spruce today and tomorrow.
