WATCH: the amazing Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra LIVE in Bukidnon

The world-class Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Herminigildo Ranera, recently performed live in Bukidnon. A very first in the Province of Bukidnon, considered the food basket of the country. The two live performances, one at 2 PM and another at 7 PM of April 12, 2024, were made possible by Senate President Juan Miguel "Migz" Zubiri and the Cultural Center of the Philippines in celebration of the inauguration of the Bukidnon Center for Culture and the Arts, located at the new Bukidnon Sports and Cultural Complex, Barangay Laguitas, Malaybalay City. Bukidnon to host Mindanao parliamentary debate championship

Confirmed: the Province of Bukidnon will be the venue for the much-anticipated Mindanao Parliamentary Debate Championship, a bi-annual debate tournament that gathers the most prestigious and most competitive debate organizations from universities all over Mindanao, Philippines. From a breakfast meeting in Cagayan de Oro to several errands here and there to a 3-hour journey to Malaybalay City, Bukidnon just to catch friends - it was all super worth it! Very happy to see Daddy's Home again. This vocal group bagged the 2nd runner-up title during the first run of X Factor Philippines and they performed in one of the Malaybalay City Charter Day 2015 events last March 20, 2015 at Freedom Park. To say that they brought the house down is actually an understatement. The guys really gave their all - it was such a treat to watch them perform live and wow the crowd! I know brothers Ebet and Allan Silonga back when E was still busy with K24/7. Allan - wow, you have to hear this man sing. If ABS CBN brought in Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla for Kaamulan Festival 2014 (Bukidnon's yearly gathering of 7 hill tribes), GMA 7 brought in 4 of their celebrities. During the Kapuso Night held last August 30, 2014 at the Capitol Grounds in Malaybalay City, Yasmien Kurdi, JC Tiuseco, Enzo Pineda and Jeric Gonzales performed before a crowd composed of tens of thousands. Congratulations to GMA 7 for the successful event! The Province of Bukidnon just finished celebrating its 100th founding anniversary last September 1, 2014. The province capped the celebration with a pyromusical display and a special concert featuring popular comedian Vice Ganda and top loveteam KathNiel - Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. An estimated 300,000 strong crowd gathered at the Capitol Grounds in Malaybalay City. This Mindanao blogger got lucky to have had VIP access, much thanks to Tim Yap and Direk Javi Martinez. Cagayan de Oro – Dahilayan Mindanao Ultra Marathon 55K formally launched

And so it's formally confirmed! The home of Asia's longest dual cable zipline will also be the home of the much-awaited CDO - Dahilayan Trail 55k Ultra Marathon on July 9, 2011. Dahilayan Adventure Park will be the end point of what's believed to be the first ever mega marathon of this kind in Mindanao. Runners will follow the picture-perfect CDO - Dahilayan trail which covers one city (Cagayan de Oro) and two Bukidnon towns (the Municipalities of Libona and Manolo Fortich). From Rodelsa Circle in Cagayan de Oro City, the participants of the race, which will begin at 4 a.m., will then proceed to Barangay Indahag then to Barangay Kiliog. Bukidnon Kaamulan Festival 2009 Ethnic Street Dancing competition to have 7 contingents

I learned from the Kaamulan Festival 2009 Chief Coordinator today that a total of seven (7) contingents will compete during the Kaamulan Ethnic Street Dancing competition this Saturday, March 7, 2009. The contingents will represent the cities of Malaybalay and Valencia and the municipalities of Cabanglasan, Kalilangan, San Fernando, Malitbog and Quezon. I must admit, I was a little bit disappointed with the news. Out of 20 municipalities in Bukidnon and 2 full pledged cities and only 7 will vie for this year's much-awaited event! However, the Kaamulan overall coordinator said that in recent years, the provincial government of Bukidnon has imposed a couple of changes in the way they handle the yearly festival --- and the cutting down of budgets for official streetdancing competitors is o...
