Who is Mindanaoan?
Mindanaoan is a child of Mindanao. Mindanao is my home.
I was born and raised in Davao City and have lived in two other areas in Mindanao – Cagayan de Oro City and Bukidnon. I have been to a lot of places around Mindanao, Philippines and I aim to continue my traveling exploits around what is called “The Land of Promise.”
Mindanao is my native land. This is where I belong, feel secure and am at peace. To be in Mindanao is to feel the embrace of a warm, soft blanket.
I am a publicist, journalist, entrepreneur, writer, digital photographer, Internet-savvy computer geek, traveler, online and offline marketer, events organizer, media consultant, painter and graphic artist.
I am drawn to human interest stories and I have a couple of advocacies that I am absolutely fond of.
I’m very opinionated and I can be very sarcastic. I swear and I have multiple odd expressions. I’ve had my share of really bad decisions and impulsive thoughts.
I have learned to become more patient. I realized that everything happens for a reason and each and every one of us has that perfect time. You just have to wait.
I have been blogging for many years (long before people actually knew what a weblog was and what Wi-Fi meant) but had to stop for a while and basically had to…well…live.
My previous jobs caused me to leave Mindanao intermittently. I have also traveled to other countries but have always found myself longing to go back home. I have worked outside of Mindanao but have always felt absolutely thrilled at the prospect of going home soon…even for a few days.
I love taking on new challenges and discovering new places. I love design, computers, fashion, culture, entertainment, fascinating people and exotic food.
Put me in an island with just a pen and paper and I will be fine.
Currently, I own and manage a public relations, events management, marketing and advertising agency. I also own and manage an outsourcing agency that provides content (from articles to blogs to press releases to sales letters to autoresponders…name it, we most probably can provide it!), virtual assistance, online publicity, search engine optimization (SEO) and other Internet marketing-related services.
