Every frequent traveler to Cebu knows this – it’s a continuous challenge to find spacious, well-fitted, affordable, strategically located hotel rooms that offer free delicious buffet breakfast. There will always be something amiss – either the hotel is too far from the city proper or the room may be too small you can barely move around with your luggage.
Fortunately, I recently discovered a charming boutique hotel a block away from Fuente Circle Cebu that could easily rival the bigger hotel chains. Cuarto Hotel is just across Robinson’s Cybergate and steps away from a few of Cebu’s biggest hospitals and call centers. Don’t worry, though. While Cuarto Hotel Cebu may be in the midst of the hustle and bustle of city life, you will still have the most comfortable stay. I did!
My room was very spacious and had sufficient amenities. WiFi Internet was FREE and fast. The bathroom had a nice hot/cold rain showerhead, bathrub, toiletries, soft slippers, towels and the sink even had hot/cold water. The cabinets had robes and several hangers. I also liked that they had a mini bar complete with stool and coffee/tea making facilities. The mattress of the bed was thick and pillows were nice. I had the most restful sleep.
Cuarto Hotel’s in-house dining area, Toast Cafe, serves culinary masterpieces. From freshly baked snacks to full meals, you can be sure that the food is of top quality and made of only the freshest ingredients. The meals are affordable and sharable, too!

You might be wondering – how was breakfast? Let me just say this – I looked forward to waking up early each day, excited to know what the buffet breakfast spread was! Breakfast was THAT good!
