If you remember, I wrote about me planning to join the Young South East Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) 2nd anniversary celebration in Bukidnon a few days ago. I mentioned that as a very proud alumnus of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), a US State Department-sponsored professional exchange program for global emerging leaders, I am always more than happy to support events especially those that help shape young leaders.

Well, that event, which was held last December 12, 2015, was a huge success! I joined some members of the US Government alumni – Bukidnon Chapter, Bukidnon State University student council leaders and several youth leaders from all over the Province of Bukidnon and we all celebrated the 2nd anniversary of YSEALI. That event was actually part of the nationwide celebration. Bukidnon was one of the 20 communities all over the Philippines that participated.
There were discussions about being a leader and the importance of volunteerism. We ended the day by going to an orphanage and feeding 300 children. We also distributed gifts for the kids.
That was truly a beautiful day 🙂
Here are some photos:
The YSEALI is a network of more than 100,000 youth leaders across South East Asia working to solve common regional issues.
Thank you, US Embassy Manila for the opportunity!
