Review: Fersal Hotel Makati – homey budget inn

Looking for accessible, affordable yet very homey hotels in Makati can be quite a challenge. Most Makati hotels within the business district can be pricey and for budget-conscious travelers like myself, it may mean that I can only stay in cheap Makati inns in seedy areas.

So I was really very grateful when I had the chance to stay for two nights at Fersal Hotel Makati during my most recent trip to Manila. This comfortable bed and these seriously soft pillows welcomed me. I knew there and then that it was going to be a cozy two night-stay.

Fersal Hotel Neptune Makati is just a stone’s throw away from Makati Avenue, one of the city’s main thoroughfares. Although it is also very near a lot of dining choices, Fersal Hotel also has a cafe near the lobby where you can enjoy sumptuous meals. They also have a convenience store nearby and an Internet-connected computer for guests to use at the lobby.

This Makati budget hotel is also just minutes away from major malls like Greenbelt, Glorietta, SM Makati, Powerplant, Landmark and the main business district along Ayala Avenue.

My airconditioned room had a work desk, large mirrors, coffee and tea making facilities, refrigerator, table and chairs, cabinets, flat screen cable TV and yes, FREE WiFi Internet.

The washroom was clean and sanitized. There were free toiletries as well.

My room at Fersal Hotel Makati also came with FREE breakfast. I had these on two mornings:

A helpful tip, by the way — Fersal Makati hotel is just several steps away from BAGA Manila. It’s this nightly food market at the A.Venue Compound that also features tiangge stalls and live band music. Ask the helpful and courteous hotel staff about it 🙂

So if you’re looking for a cozy, affordable place to stay in Makati that’s close to everything, stay at Fersal Hotel Makati. Treat it your home away from home.

Directions: When you book your room, you may want to avail of the hotel’s airport shuttle service (comes with a surcharge). If you want to take an airport taxi, tell the driver to take you to Neptune Street, Bel-Air Makati. Or from Ayala Avenue, take a right towards Makati Avenue. As soon as you see a Shakey’s outlet on the left, take that street. Fersal Hotel Makati is about 20 meters away.

  • Hi! I really agree with your review, it’s very homey and I like how (and where) it is located. I always stay here when I visit Makati. I always suggest online bookings though, not just through booking sites but even through Fersal’s own website since the rates are lower. I think walk in rates are around 500 to 600 php more expensive. I just paid 1,900 for a room that costs 2,500 for walk ins. 🙂

They also give you two breakfast stubs, so I usually consume the two beakfasts for myself. Haha!

One time I booked myself at a hotel nearby which cost me the save but was very dingy, dirty, seedy and downright scary (broken glass on floor, musty carpets and thick curtains and molds on shower curtains!!). I didn’t push through, even though it was drizzling and 7pm already and I walked a couple of blocks and found Fersal. I relayed the story to the front desk officer and she gave me a 10% discount off as well. Very nice!
