Here are the winners of the Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 2. The male “diva” from Cavite, Marcelito Po Moy, was declared grand winner of the PGT Season 2 earlier tonight, June 26, 2011. The results night was held at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City. Marcelito Po Moy, a favorite of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 judge Kris Aquino, bagged a total of Php 2 Million cash prize.
The second placers were the tap dancing siblings from Libona, Bukidnon, Mindanao – Happy Feet. Happy Feet Bukidnon is composed of the Mata brothers. Third place went to the hip hop dance group Freestylers.
During the performance night Saturday, Marcelito Po Moy sang “The Prayer.” Known for his distinct female singing voice, Marcelito showed how adept he was to switch from a female singing voice to a male singing voice.
I know a lot of people who were disappointed with the results. A lot were hoping that the Mata brothers would win. The brothers, whose story touched PGT judge Ai-Ai de las Alas so much that she decided to give them new pairs of tap dancing shoes, merely learned how to tap dance just by watching videos and films. The Mata brothers also showed how they both loved each other and how they both supported each other.
All I can say is this — we Mindanaoans should still be happy because to land on second place is still no easy feat. Remember, there were 14 grand finalists and to be chosen as the second best out of that loot is already a big honor. We should be happy that the Mata brothers have come this far. They have also reminded all of us just how important our siblings are. Family should always, ALWAYS come first.
Congratulations to the Mata brothers! And to the Bukidnon provincial government — I hope that with this win, your officials will also take this as a challenge to come up with more programs for the youth…programs that can help them hone their talents even further.
Here’s the final ranking as well as percentage of votes for all 14 grand finalists:

Congratulation to ha[ppy feet your talent from mindanao, being second placer still no easy feat. My one cents of thought our people love music more than dance:-))
Hehe mukha nga 😀 Pero di nga, I think to place second is already a big honor. Ok na yun! Besides I think hindi ito ang end ng career ng Happy Feet 🙂
