It's that time of year again - Tuna Festival 2012 in General Santos City! Actually, not only is it the start of the Tuna Festival 2012 celebrations today, September 5, 2012, but it is also the 44th Charter Day celebration in General Santos City. Today is also a special (non-working) day in General Santos City, according to the General Santos City official Facebook page.
The theme for the 2012 Tuna Festival is "Tunafest Tunafun sa Magandang Gensan!"

Although there haven't been any official statements yet from both SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (the corporation behind the SM supermalls around the country) and the Salazar Family of General Santos City (said to be the owners of an 8-hectare property along Santiago Boulevard, GenSan where SM reportedly intends to put up the SM General Santos Supermall), observers believe that it's a done deal.
The fact that General Santos Mayor Pedro Acharon already confirmed the signing of a lease between the two concerned parties, then the project already has the green light.

My companions and I were billeted at EMR Suites in Koronadal City, Mindanao last week.
We were in the land formerly called Marbel for a two-day gig at EMR Center, which was actually just a few steps away from EMR Suites.
Two words to describe my 3-night stay? UBER COMFORTABLE.
