Young Filipino wedding photographers from Mindanao included among world’s best

A group composed of Mindanaoan Filipino visual artists turned destination wedding photographers, One Happy Story, was recently included in a list composed of the best engagement and most creative wedding photographers in the world.
One Happy Story, a group of young Filipino wedding photographers, was recently included in Love Olio, a hand-selected listing that features only what they call “the most groundbreaking wedding photographers in the world.” Love Olio showcased some of One Happy Story’s best engagement and wedding images.
“We are extremely proud and delighted. Our inclusion in Love Olio is an affirmation of our commitment to capture real and happy moments as they happen for two people in love,” said Bon, Creative Director of One Happy Story.
“Each couple has a unique story to tell and we at One Happy Story wedding photography do our absolute best to let that shine through in our photographs. We would like to thank Love Olio for recognizing our efforts,” he added.
Borne out of sheer passion for photography, graphic design and visual arts, One Happy Story aims to immortalize memories through “fresh, fun and funky style of photography.”
“That’s what sets us apart. While we do follow all the formalities involved in a wedding, we still want the couple and their loved ones to have a great time. Hence, fresh, fun and funky. After all, a wedding marks a significant point in a person’s life and it is but natural to capture the fun side of it as well,” Bon stressed.
Incidentally, Bon recently bagged the top plum in the 1st Canon Kagay-An Festival photo competition. A few years ago, he also bagged top honors during a Sony-sponsored photo contest in Northern Mindanao.
One of the most sought after photographers in Mindanao, One Happy Story has been the creative brains behind the wedding photographs of some of Visayas and Mindanao’s most prominent couples. The One Happy Story wedding photographers have also covered traditional Filipino engagements, Tenghuns (Chinese engagement), royal Muslim marriages, beach and garden weddings and pre-nuptial shoots in Manila, Cebu, Surigao, Cagayan de Oro, Marawi, Tubod Lanao, Butuan, Gingoog, Davao, Ozamiz, Malaybalay, Valencia, Iligan and Pagadian.
Soon to hit international shores in partnership with ASTERISK Events and Communications, One Happy Story also conducts photography workshops.
