Mindanao food: Malunggay pastel! Sweet, healthy twist to Camiguin’s delicacy

Did you know that malunggay contains more vitamin A than carrots, more calcium than milk, more iron than spinach, more vitamin C than oranges and more potassium than bananas?

That’s the premise of Malunggay Pastel Bread, which started as a product for a feasibility study for Xavier University students but now looks like a thriving, successful business venture. Malunggay pastel is a healthy twist to the ordinary pastel bread, largely known as Camiguin’s delicacy.

@Steffi – I’m Jonas Gamba from Vineyard College. I, together with my classmates, have an ongoing study. We chose your establishment (Malunggay Pastel Bread) as recommended by our instructor. We visited the store in Divisoria for a purpose to personally talk or interview the supervisor. But the supervisor wasn’t there at that time. So, the saleslady advised us to leave a letter and our questions and she will be the one to bring it up to the supervisor. Now, can I send to you directly the letter and the questions we have through an email? Or, can we have an appointment with you?
I’m hoping for your response any day next week. If you want a phone call, you can call me on this number – 0906 878 5411. Thank you very much.
